Replacement Filter

Yearly change of the filter body. Having the sight glass and drain may well extend the life of the filter, but old habits die hard so I am changing the filter out. Fully recommend this product. Simple to change and reassurance that if any water is in the fuel the filter will clear it..

Garelick 50 hp motor stand

I purchased the stand to support a 3.5 hp motor for transportation in my toy hauler RV. My initial impression was that it was flimsy and the stand was priced way over what it was worth. The legs are tubular aluminum and supported by crossbraces that require removal and replacement of two wing nuts when the stand is expanded or collapsed. I would have preferred hinged braces.The mounting bar appears to be painted compressed fiberboard or recycled plastic, I do not know if it will stand up to weather. It does support my 60lb motor when stationary. I would be supprised if it supports motors weighing much more than 60lbs and I am afraid to use it bolted to the deck of my RV for travel.

Great Product

This product makes spring flushing and tuning of my boat motor much easier than it used to be. I used to either have to get a tub of water and find a way to get the prop down into it or else I had to go to the lake and hope that the motor would work there. Now I can just hook up my hose to the Unified Marine Motor Flusher and it makes flushing, running, and tuning the motor a breeze. I would encourage anyone who enjoys boating to get one of these to make their spring prep work that much easier!

Still struggling with the set-up

I have an older V4 Evinrude ('87) and have been struggling to get this set up to read at higher revs. I installed a potentiometer and resistor as recommended on some of the tech/shop pages. It reads fine up to about 3500 rpm (only 2000 without the resistors) and then drops back to zero. The older Evinrudes are notorious for poorly-regulated voltage and I am guessing that the problem is more in my setup rather than a gauge problem.The gauge itself is well-built and the hookup is easy. The instructions are very clear.

Deceiving picture

Picture is deceiving. I was trying to match other Teleflex instruments on my boat and this looked like mine. However, this Tach arrived with a very tinted glass rather than clear. It has a dark tan dile rather than white. It has a black rim rather than a shinny aluminum or dull chrome. The bummer is that I returned it unopened but was charged 20% of cost for restocking fee. So much for Amazon savings!! The Tach itself would probably have served my needs but the deceiving looks of it online is not what it looks like in reality.

Good fitting, solid OMC

I chose this fitting (and OMC) for all my fuel tank lines because they work very well and are interchangeable across many of my tanks (and friends tanks). I have a mercury motor but use this on the tank connections, works great.

Attwood better than Shoreline

It would appear that Attwood fittings are better quality than Shoreline Marine. Walmart carries either brand depending on region. Shoreline brass fittings appear to be a little undersized. Sloppy fit into a Attwood fitting.Maybe Shoreline fitting are the right size and Attwood is over-sized?

Moellers Clear Site Filters help the process of water removal for better fuel system maintenance. Reusable water collecting bowl extends the life of the filter by draining collected water. Easy turn thumb screw provides a positive grip while draining bowl. For 2 and 4-cycle outboard engines only. High performance 3/8 NPR ports. Not for use with diesel fuel. ITEM AS DESCRIBED. EVERY THING INCLUDED TO COMPLETE INSTALLATION,EXCEPT MOUNTING BOLTS. I HAVE IT INSTALLED IN A 1990 ALUMACRAFT WITH 100 HP MARINER. HOPE THIS SOLVES MY FUEL PROBLEMS.

Purchased this as a replacement for my existing Moeller. I mounted my existing water separating fuel filter outside the bilge as to be able to easily monitor any water in the fuel system. The filter has done a great job (never any water in my system) however after approx one year the metal cartridge started to rust and leak. I replaced the cartridge (very easy) and we'll see how this one holds up. My useage is primarily fresh water but I did spend a week in the Gulf with it. The boat and equipment was washed down on a daily basis.
