Attwood Portable Fuel Tanks are constructed of the same high strength Multi-layer Co-extruded HDPE/EVOH material as found in automotive fuel systems. Attwood portable fuel tanks are certified to EPA and CARB standards and include an exclusive ratcheting, automatic low-restriction, high-flow fuel cap that ensures proper fuel flow and engine performance in all conditions. Attwood's exclusive high-flow fuel cap exceeds OEM requirements and reduces wear on fuel pumps improving engine performance and life. Attwood Portable Fuel Tanks are designed for use in all Marine and non-marine small engine applications and will provide years of leak-free performance.

Gas tank

What do you say about a gas tank. It is as ordered and works fine.I am going to stop responding it they keep making me fill in more words. Just the five star rating I gave it should have been enough.

I was real wary buying this tank without any reviews at all (prior to mine) but it appears to be a solidly built, quality product. I saw a number of 3-gallon marine fuel tanks on Amazon/eBay for a whole lot more than this one so I figured that I might be getting something of dubious quality but that does not appear to be the case. The plastic walls of the tank are pretty thick and the tank is EPA certified to prevent evaporative emissions from leaking out. The label on the tank says it was made in the USA (nice!) and was "designed, built, and certified to meet the requirements of EPA CFR 40 and California CCR 2468". Also says it is "warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years". I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one but this one will last longer than the outboard motor it will be paired with.
